The occiput anterior fetal position is a cephalic presentation, in which the fetus is face down, facing the mother's spine. This is the ideal position for childbirth and, accordingly, the most common type of presentation. The fetus presents with a flexed neck, which extends during delivery. The shoulders then rotate before delivery is completed.
