Prenatal Pilates: Cat Cow Stretch

The Cat/Cow Stretch is used to removes tension throughout the spine. Eases back pain. Calms the central nervous system.
 
• Come on to your hands and knees.
• Wrists aligned with shoulders.
• Long back.
• Flex feet, getting ready for cow pose.
• Inhale, keep belly engaged towards soine.
• Tail bone long, pointing back.
• Roll shoulders back.
• Point feet, getting ready for cat pose.
• Exhale, round spine.
• Drop head into chest.
• Inhale, open chest.
• Exhale, chin to chest.
• Tail bone pointing down and in.
• Feet straight.
• Belly hugged towards spine.
• Knees aligned with hips.
