What else can I do to get relief?
Minimise the amount of air you swallow when you eat or drink:
• Chew thoroughly
• Limit how much you drink during meals (you can make up for it during the rest of the day)
• Drink from a cup or glass, and avoid straws
• Move! Even a brisk walk can aid digestion.
Call your GP or midwife if:
Your discomfort turns into severe pain or cramping.
You have severe diarrhoea, constipation or increased nausea and vomiting.
