In an unfortunate case, a poor pregnant woman in the Philippines was denied medical assistance from the hospital. As a result of this, she had to give birth to her child on the streets outside the hospital.
Apparently, she was denied aid because she had no money to offer for the treatment. She also did not had any medical insurance which could cover the cost.
People become homeless in myriad ways and have vastly different experiences with homelessness depending on their location, health, and connections.
At the last stage of her labour, the woman was forced to give birth outside the hospital. Few birth specialists also helped her in the process. Thankfully, both the baby and mother are safe now.
