How to Give a Baby a Bath?

Bathing your baby can be a wonderful time for closeness and connection. But I know it can be really scary to. Be sure to have your washing supplies towel and clean clothes ready so baby is never left alone in or out of the water. Once you have these things laid out here's some other tips to keep in mind.

Keep the Water Warm

Most parents make the bath too cold because they are nervous of the water being too hot. Keep the temperature warm. Do the risk test if it's too hot on your wrist it's too hot for baby.

Keep the Baby Covered

When you recline your baby into the water make sure their body is fully submerged to the top of their shoulders. And place a hand towel or face cloth over your baby's body to keep them warm while bathing.

Face to Feet

Gently wash your new baby's face with plain water and then work towards their feet. Don't forget to open their tiny hands and give their palms a good scrub with baby wash. Their grasp reflex causes a lot of goodies to gather in there. Wash their hair last since the wet top of head will cause them to lose a lot of body heat.

You don't need special gadgets to give your baby a bath a clean kitchen sink will be just fine and remember your baby loves a water environment so let them float and you enjoy doing this task.
