In the UK the recommendation is that we don't count kicks because it is not predictive of how all the babies doing. We say focus on what your baby's pattern. You'll get to know what your baby does and that general pattern for your baby.
They tend to be a bit more active in the afternoon, in the evening.They have sleep periods as well twenty to forty minutes, sometimes up to 90 minutes. If it's longer than that then obviously really do be aware of what your babies do.
