Human beings, along with other mammals, produce hormones that help us go to sleep in the dark (melatonin) and wake in the morning (cortisol). If these hormones get disrupted they can negatively affect your toddler’s sleep so it’s really important to know how to regulate them.
In this video our sleep expert and NHS Sleep Educator Mandy Gurney explains the hormones that promote and disturb your baby's sleep. She also explains how to promote melatonin production in the evening and how to prevent early cortisol production in the morning which can cause early rising.
