Prenatal Massage Therapy: Head and Face

Pregnant women who regularly get massages sleep better and suffer less from anxiety, fear or depression. Massage decreases cortisol (the stress hormone) in the brain.
 
• Loosen up the scalp.
• Go through the hair and stimulate the nerve endings.
• 'Effleurage' jaw.
• Make circles outward from the eyes.
• Stroke the forehead
• Be gentle on the temples.
• Ears are a pressure point.
